If I sandwich honeycomb with 1/8" baltic birch plywood will they hold up as a book shelf under a stero, books, etc. if the shelf is 36" long and 12" wide? If the answer is yes, how large a shelf can I make with this configuration before it deforms? Also, do you know of any manufacturers who are making honeycomb panels? If you do, do you have their web address?
thanks, john

John,

Its difficult to give you a specific answer as there are a number of factors. Use this as a general rule. Consider the strength of a honeycomb panel similar to what you would get out of solid wood of the same dimensions, maybe just a little less.

Don't know of any company that will lay up panels for you. Maybe someone else will have this information.

Sincerely
Darryl Keil
