I have a brand new, butt ugly refrigerator in my home theatre/bar, and want to veneer at least the large, flat areas. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for the proper adhesive or technique to use?

Derwood,

The only thing I can think of without seeing the fridge is to apply a veneer to 1/8" ply and fit that to the fridge. If it has trim around the edges to hold a sheet metal panel on the front as some do that would make the job easier. If not, you could glue the 1/8" panel to the fridge with polyurethane glue, after you rough up the surface. Then put some wood or other trim around the edges.

Sincerely
Darryl Keil

Thanks, Darryl.
I figured I might have to do some tests on inconspicuos areas first. I'm just wondering if I could use something like the polyurethane glue to adhere directly to the door(appliance paint). I'll report back any results I get.
