My veneers seem to get extremely dry after a short time in storage. How do all of you keep your veneers? How do veneer suppliers keep theirs???

I generally store my larger stocks covered in plastic. Smaller pieces and offcuts I have stored in piles under my vacuum table between layers of MDF. Seems to work OK, and my workshop is very dry.

Dean,

The main two things is to keep your veneer flat and not too dried out. Anton's approach in the previous post is what I suggest. If you can, store our veneer close to the floor rather than up high since lower will be less dry. In a basement shop, down low may not be such a good idea.

Most veneer companies keep their veneer palleted and banded in a unheated space. No heat helps keep the veneer from getting too dry.

Sincerely
Darryl Keil
