I am looking at making some cabinet doors out of maple and would like to place a walnut burl on the panel. Should I shape the panel then apply the veneer. Or apply the veneer a little over sized then run it on my panel cutter?

Thanks
Todd

Todd,

I would apply the veneer to your panel and then shape it. You can do it both ways but it tends to come out cleaner if you apply the veneer first.

Thanks for the reply. I am very new to the world of veneering and vacu-press.
