Dear Doug,I have seen knife marks in many veneers, some hardly there and other that would take a bit of scraping and sanding to remove. Ive never had any so bad I sanded through. If its that bad and you got it from a good source, I would talk to them about returning it.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I just got a shipment of highly quilted veneer and I have noticed : many knife marks running through it apparently where the knife had a : nick or something in it. The marks are consistent on both sides. I : pressed a small piece to see if I could sand it out and I couldn't, I : hit the substrate. Is this common for veneer or did I get some : rejects? How do I deal with these marks?
