Dear Colin,One question to your leak problem. I dont know if this applies, but beaware that bags rarely hold perfect vacuum and thats why systems usually have auto cycling switches to account for loss of vacuum. If you have a cycling system and your pump holds for over 5 minutes between cycling, dont bother looking for the leak, it will be most likely to hard to find and the pump can easily cycle that often without a problem. One tip on finding leaks is be sure to check along the seam of the bag, if its vinyl, and where the closure at the end is, any particles there will cause a leak, also check the underside of the bag. This is an area that is often overlooked but sometimes a chip can get between the bag and the table you are working on and over time grind a hole in the bag. No matter how well you listen for leaks you wont find if its on the underside without flipping over the table.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have a vane pump connected to an 8ft x 4ft bag, it appears that I : have a small leak somewhere in the system. I would like to know the : procedure for identifying a vacuum leak.: Thanks: Colin
