I find that in the small shop situation the most troublesome aspect of veneer work is in the jointing of veneers prior to taping. I have employed several different methods, each of which has some limitations and drawbacks. I have been working on a design for a dedicated, router based, station for straightlining veneers, but now I see where V.P.S. is offering a "veneer cutter". Can anyone tell me about this product, how it works, and how well it works? Cross grain? At angles? Highly figured grain? Is it feasible to joint 8-10 foot lengths with it? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, R.

:Try the "Fine" detail sander that comes with a saw blade. no other brand will do as the "Fine". You will be surprised and never work with out one. No more waist in material and time. I used every veneer saw you can think off even made one with a rasor blade. They all will ripp the veneer soner or later but not the "Fine" John I find that in the small shop situation the most troublesome aspect : of veneer work is in the jointing of veneers prior to taping.
