I'm having trouble bending 1/8" Italian Poplar bending ply on a 3" curve. This type of bending plywood seams to be fragile on tight curves. Could anyone help me out or at least point me to a bending ply that can handle this curviture.

Dear Tim,You may want to try a product called "hoop pine" which is a 1/16" plywood which is very bendable. I cant say where to get it though, but I have seen ads for it. Hunt around you should be able to find some.sincerelyDarryl Keil: I'm having trouble bending 1/8" Italian Poplar bending ply on a 3" : curve. It could be that your plywood is too dry. Try lightly wetting the ply with water (a spray bottle works well) and letting it sit for a while (until the surface is dry) to raise the moisture content some.: I'm having trouble bending 1/8" Italian Poplar bending ply on a 3" : curve.
