dean, the paper is just a backing so you can work with full-sized sheets of veneer without the job of cutting and stitching/taping the seams of a bunch of leaves of veneer. paper goes down to the substrate. the main advantages are not having to seam your veneers, and not having to deal with bleed-through.jason: Being new to the veneer concept of woodworking, would someone explain : when using the paperback veneer, do you put the paper side down : against the glue or up??? If up do you then have to sand off the : paper? How thick is this paper? Are there advantages to using paper : back veneer over raw veneer in some circumstances, if so, could : explain?: I have many more questions but I'll work on these for the time : being. Is there a book, video, magazine that explains the usage of : paper back veneer.: Thanks alot!!!: Dean
