Dan,I have great success by using a sponge envelope licker. I wet the veneer tape once, let is sit for a couple of minutes, wet it again, wait a minute more and then the tape comes right off. I then scrub the area with a wet sponge to get the glue residue off left by the tape. Also if there are any areas that did not glue down properly the water will bubble up the veneer in that spot. Better to know it before you apply finish so you can repair the spot then.SincerelyDarryl Keil: Anybody know a good way to remove veneer tape? I've been getting as : much off by hand as possible, and then sanding the rest carefully, : but don't like the way the sanding required abuses the veneer. : Thanks for any help.
