I have recently recieived my Compact 100 and have been extremely pleased with it and the way it presses flat panels. Equally impressed are my fellow students at the Palomar College Furnitureand Cabinet Making classes. I find the 3/8" brass fitting from the pump is very difficult to seat completely into the nipple at the bottom of the bag. I am using a 30 mil poly bag. Would it be okay to lightly lubricate the brass fitting with a little Camelia oil or Butcher Block oil? I would not use any silicon though.Thank you for a great beginning system and the support of your staff..Ron

Ron,Yes, a little lubricant would be fine. We make the fittings purposefully tight, dont want any leaks. The brass fitting and the polyurethane have a way of "locking" on each other and a little grease takes care of that. Your choice of oil is fine.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I have recently recieived my Compact 100 and have been extremely pleased with it and the : way it presses flat panels.
