Subject : Can I Veneer a Dowel?

I need to veneer some dowels, about 3/4" dia., for a project I'm doing. Is this possible? Are there companies out there who would do this for me? Thanks for any help to a green newbie.Evan

Evan,Personally, I like Dan's tenon cutter idea. If thats not an option you can veneer a dowel but you would do best by veneering two halves and then gluing them together. Veneering around a dowel in one piece would be next to impossible.
