hello, i am using Unibond One on a veneering project. Althouh I like 2 part unibond, since it is bullet proof, clean up is a pain. So, I am using more unibond one. I have some questions/observations
-does lacquer thinner affect the glue bond? I have experienced localized delamination where i suspect lacquer thinner interacted with the glue line.
-what is the clamping time for 70 degree, 20% relative humidity. even though the bottle says 45 min to 2 hours I keep it under vacuum longer by a couple more hours. it would seem that situations that have a heavier hand with the glue I have experienced buckling if i take it out of the bag too soon.
-is there a volume per area recomendation? i have gotten better results with veneer adhesion when i use less glue. what do the experts say?
any insights are greatly appreciated, Tim
