I have a chance to pick up a 7'x7' vinyl bag from a friend. I already have a big bag, and my 4'x4' is really shot. It's been repaired and re-nippled several times. I was thinking of resizing the 7x7 down to a more usable 4x4.

I do not have anything to "weld" the seam. Other than a clothes iron, a heat gun, and a propane torch. Would a glue work? Shoe-Goo is calling me.

Suggestions? Or should I just forget this folley?

Regards, Carl

I would forget about any heat weld options. Would cause more damage than anything. Gluing is the way to go but I have never used Shoe-Goo so I cannot speak to that option. I would search out Seam Grip which you can get on Amazon…of course!. This glue I know will work. Be sure to wipe both surfaces of the bag with acetone before applying the glue for a better bond and let cure for at least 12hrs.
