I just bought a used Vacu Press from an estate auction. It appears to be in excellent shape; however, I have a few questions regarding this equipment:

1) Unless the gauge mounted on the face of the unit is faulty, it will only read a max of 27.5" Hg. Is this normal? Is there any way to increase this pressure? The adjustment dial on the unit is set at max. I have another application for this equipment where I need 29".

2) Your website does not show individual parts, such as additional tubing with connectors, being available for purchase. Where can I find these parts and pricing information?

3) I could not find an owner's or operations manual on your site. Neither could I find a data plate showing model number, etc. on the unit itself. Where might I obtain a manual for this unit...and where is the data plate located?

Thanks for your help.

That is the max vacuum you can get with this kind of vacuum pump. You need a scientific type vacuum pump to achieve 29 HG or higher, which by the way, is totally uneeded for vacuum pressing purposes. If your usage is different and you must have 29 HG then you need a different kind of vacuum pump.
