Hi
I am sure someone has come across this issue before.
I tried turned on the (blue) vacuum yesterday and the motor just made a buzzing/humming sound and would not cycle. Anyone got any suggestions?
thanks
Brian

Well, without talking to you directly I suspect you have a vane lock. This can happen with rotary vanes pumps, (which all of our older models are). Moisture can build up in the vacuum chamber and create a low level of corrosion. This can "lock" the vanes, especially when a pump is not used much. Go to this link and how to fix the problem will be addressed, its not that difficult. www.vacupress.com/pumprepair.htm

If you need more assistance call our office at 207-725-0935 and talk to Eric.
