I have been using my vacuum press occasionally for several years. I've put various veneers on either MDF, Particle Board or Plywood. I have always followed the rule, "What you do to one side, you must do to the other side. So I have been putting the nice veneer on the "Show" side and a cheap birch or whatever is "cheapo of the day" on the other side. I now want to build a cabinet out of solid Mahogany and apply a veneer crotch to the raised panels. Does the same rule apply and will I need to veneer the back as well? I'm thinking no, but thought I would throw it out to the team and get some input. Thanks!
