Subject : how much does unibond reduce wood movement?

I was wondering how much unibond restricts wood movement? say a certain percentage per glue line.

I have a solid wood panel of African Mahogany rift sawn approx. 9"W x 3/8" thick with two ply veneer on both faces. everything was glued with unibond 800, so 4 glue lines. My calculations show this panel of solid by itself could move +-3/32" in width. I now have a subface glued at 90degrees and 4 rigid glue lines, so will that significanly reduce my expansion?

Thanks

In general the power of any glue to stop wood movement requires the veneer to be 3/32" or less. Obviously some woods move more or less than others but glue cannot stop a 1/4" thick piece of wood from moving no matter what kind of glue is used. Of course if there is no humidity or temperature change and the wood is completely dry then any glue can theoretically hold wood of any thickness without movement.
