Subject : flattening is done now for pressing?

The second application of softener and reducing the number of sheets in the stack worked and the crotch came out nice and flat. i am getting ready to start glue up and have a couple of questions.

I am gluing to 1/4" mdf and am going to apply the cross banding first because it will be easier to scrape the veneer tape off the veneer with it glued to the panel.
I am using ultra cat glue. a couple of questions:

Do I have to have the glue and all panels at 70 degrees before applying the glue?
I am going to put an electric blanket over the bag when drying.
After i take the panels out of the bag to scrape should I keep them stacked together or separate to allow air movement around the panels.
the panels are 18"x 26".

Thanks
Joe

Joe,

No, the glue and panel do not have to be 70 degrees prior to pressing as long as you cover with the electric blanket as soon as you get it in the bag.

Seperate the panels afterwards so the air can circulate around them.
