I veneered a marquetry picture about 20 x 16" containing all types of wood. A few small areas maybe 1/2" square in a walnut area didn't stick. The piece looks fine. But if you press on the areas with your finger nail how can see them move. The picture is going to be hung on a wall. I fixed a two other areas by injecting glue under the veneer with a hypodermic needle. Can't get under in these areas. Is this likely to be a problem where the veneer will peel off the picture? Everything else looks secure.

Brent,

I would put some water on these small areas which will swell the veneer making it bubble up enough to get a needle into the spot and glue it down properly. If you know these areas are not bonded properly there's a good chance it will come back to haunt you later if you don't deal with it now.
