Subject : questionable grain orientation for veneer glue up

Hello,
I have a long skinny walnut veneer glue up. The panel is 10" wide and 6' long with two occurrences of the walnut grain orientation shown in the attached picture. It is part of a headboard and only the veneer at an angle will be seen. The joint will not be seen. I will be using Unibond which will lessen expansion but I am not sure I can get away with glueing the veneers at this grain orientation. Should I give it a try?
Thanks for your help.
Karen

Karen,

when in doubt ...two ply. due to the size is see no problem, the grain pattern looks almost quartered.
