dear friends,

we are facing the problem of delamination while hot pressing smoked tineo ?!

we are using melamine urea formaldehyde resin with the hardner, we tried all possible variations but veneer does not bond with the base ply.!

do you have any idea what could be the reason?

we thank you all for your responce.

I'm not sure from your post where the glue is failing - the substrate or the veneer. I normally scuff sand my substrates with three or four ROS passes with 80 grit to clean the surface and highlight any dings and other low areas.

Can you make a couple trials to see where the problem lies? Perhaps gluing some of the smoked tineo alongside some other veneer on the substrate, and second perhaps a 2 ply of the smoked tineo? This should identify the culprit. (I'm not familiar with either hot pressing or this veneer, so I can't offer any personal experience with either.)
