Subject : Disposing of old Unibond 800

I made the mistake of leaving my Unibond 800 in the garage (reaches about 110 degrees) and as one might expect it turned brown and thick. I assume that it is probably no longer usable so I'm faced with how to get rid of it. Sending it to the land fill in liquid form is not a very good option, so I was thinking I would mix it with some catalyst pour it onto an old aluminum foil pan to set and then send it to the landfill. Hopefully it will set and I can send a solid chunk away. Is that a reasonable option? If not, can you guys suggest a better way to dispose of it?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave,

Catalyzing Unibond 800 is the best way to make the glue inert which can then be safely sent to the land fill.

And, yes, you are correct, when Unibond 800 thickens on itself the shelf life is up.
