How many pieces can I put into the bag and still get good results.

I have several panels of different sizes and would like to put them all into the bag at once with about 4 or so inches between them. I have a 4 X 8 poly bag but am only using half.

Is there a general rule of thumb for this?

Thanks,

J.P.

JP,

You can put as many pieces as can comfortably fit in the bag. I would not leave such a large space between panels, the bag will just want to drag them towards each other and cause misalignment. Put the panels about 1/4" apart so the bag will go directly from one panel to the next without pulling down in between.

I think the real issue about multiple pressings at one time is how long is that first panel sitting in the glue waiting for pressure while all the others are being prepared. You dont want to wait too long before applying vacuum. Of course this is much more of an issue with white and yellow glues than urea resin.

Sincerely
