I am building a large breakfront and will have veneered panels of different lengths and widths but all the same thickness and veneer type on both sides.

I was wondering if I could use one caul,1/4" melamine, on the bottom and one caul,3/4" melamine, on the top if I arrange the panels so ther is no more than a 4" gap between the panels and the edges are flush with the caul edges?

Or would it be preferable to do a couple of different stacks separately in the bag with cauls the same size as the panels?

Thanks,

J.P.

JP,

Yes, you can do this but with not such a large gap between panels. Keep it to no more than 1" for a 3/4" top caul.
