Darryl,
I have produced a pedastal table top veneer skin with an extensive marquetry banding. The skin is close to 49" in diameter. After trimming, the finished top will be apx. 48.5". I plan on laminating the skin on 1" mdf. When I add up the thickness of the bottom platten (which I have not made yet), the substrate, and a top caul, I am afraid I will be stretching it abit-no pun intended. Any advice on this? Is it time to invest in a bigger system? I have alot of time and money invested in this skin so failure is not an option.
Thank you again for all your info and this forum.

John,

Since your bag is 4'5" inside I don't see any problem with your layup.

If you want to feel comfortable before applying glue do a dry run just to see how the bag handles it.

Sincerely
