Hi

We're using three ply veneer over tricell. Tricell needs to be exact size before bagging. Some parts are about 4'x6' bent to 90* angle with 4"radius. We're leaving veneer 1/4" proud all around. What can we use for top caul/platten that will take that radius, protect the edge of veneer overhang, is cheap, and can be cut on our cnc router.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

Well, you not going to use a very thick caul with such a tight radius. I would use 1/8" or 1/4" bending ply depending on what you can get. As far as an overhang I would make your panel a little larger and forget the overhang. Just come back afterwards and trim your panel down to the finish dimension.

Sincerely
