Subject : Unibond 800 / MSDS Info.

Gents,

I was recently ordering some Unibond800 from my veneer supplier and he told me he doesn't carry it anymore because of the dangers of storing the product because of the alcohol??? I ended up ordering a different PPR glue. I really enjoy working with Unibond800, but don't want to have any adverse syptoms because of its use. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Thanks,
Jeff

Jackson,

That's some rather odd information as the storing of Unibond 800 requires no special requirements at all. Don't understand why you were told that. I have never known alcohol or products with alcohol in them to require special storage.

As far as having adverse symptoms most all catalytic glues, epoxies ,polyurethanes and urea resins have some toxicity. Use common sense when handling them. Its no different than using most any shop chemical or finish. Use adequate ventilation and wear gloves. Its daily or constant use that requires extra vigilance.

If you would still like to use Unibond 800 you can order direct from us. Call or use this web site.

Sincerely
Darryl Keil
