Subject : air bladder questions

I have a customer with some speaker enclosures that seem like the perfect application for an air bladder (read: perfect excuse to buy one). However, there are openings in one face that present two questions: how to veneer the inside edge of a round opening (in a panel that also varies in thickness over the width of the opening), and will the openings present any problems when veneering the face using a bag and bladder? Do I pre-cut the veneer and caul material over the openings or let them span the openings?

Thanks in advance for any advice

David,

If you're going to use the air bladder I would pre-cut the veneer around the openings but not the caul.

As far as the inside edge of a round opening that also varies in thickness, I really cant picture what you mean so its difficult to comment on it.

Sincerely
