Subject : Tilt top table using mdf

I have made a couple of tilt top tables using 3/4 mdf and they are 34" across. If you are are not familiar with the construction of this type of table, the possible issue would be not having support underneath for the whole table top.Should the mdf have support under the whole table top or would this be an issue in the years to come? Thanks for your help.

Rick,

Personally I wouldnt use MDF as this material easily sags without support over time. A tilt top table doesnt really look right with a lot of support underneath it. At least thats my opinion.
