I found a comment here http://www.vacupress.com/forum/thread-view.asp?threadid=16249&MessageID=32119#32119 from an individual who made a veneer punch from conduit. Could anyone add more detail - simple EMT pipe? Diameter? Bevel the end to cut on the inside diameter or outside diameter? Is "cloud pattern" like a sine wave? I'd love to try fashioning one or two and would greatly appreciate any further help. Thanks.

Don,

Standard electrical conduit will work fine. As far as size goes, I would get the smallest size available. Actually a few sizes are preferable, one around a half inch and one around three quarters. Put a long bevel on the outside to sharpen it. As far as the shape goes just make it a bit wavy, this helps to hide the repair you make in the veneer. A round patch will be more noticeable where an irregular one blends better
