Subject : Unibond psi requirements + heat resistance

Newbie to veneering.
I intend to veneer some speakers with 2-ply cherry that will eventually be located 4 feet from a woodstove (I measured 125 F). A couple of questions, 1) Will Unibond 800 handle the heat? 2) I intend to clamp rather than vacuum, what psi is required for clamping Unibond?

Dont worry about Unibond 800's temperature resistance, your speakers will have to burst into flames before the glue line is affected. More important is what glue is used in the two ply lay up itself.

For clamping, having your pressure uniform is far more important that applying a lot of pressure. If you get 30psi you will be fine.
