Subject : Lamninating Copper Sheet...What glue?

Hi all!
I'm contemplating laminating copper sheet to a solid core front door. I do have a big enough bag.

I've tried epoxy in another project and it simply did not bond well to the prepped copper. Would Unibond work, or should I be thinking more along the more flexible glue lines of contact cement or panel adhesive?

Do I need to balance with a sheet on the opposite side?

Peter,

I would try polyurethane glue with the copper roughed up to 80grit. Try it on a test piece. Contact cement would work but polyurethane is a better bond.

I cant say if you would need anything on the other side, maybe a sheet of plastic laminate, I'm not sure.

Sincerely
Darryl Kel
