Subject : Vereer tape telegraphing

I’m laying up a small curved section consisting of 7 layers of veneer. Two of the interior layers (just below the two outer layers) are made up of two pieces of veneer and it would be easier for me to work with them if they were held together with veneer tape. If I use the veneer tape will it telegraph through to the outside surface?

Howard,

As long as the veneer tape faces inward on the next layer beneath the face veneer you will be fine. Be sure it is at least two hole veneer tape so you get some bonding through the holes.
