Subject : Trimming curved forms on table saw

Darryl,

In your second video, you demonstrated the use of the table saw to trim the sides of a curved form. You ran the form across the saw with the blade set at an angle perpendicular to the curve. During the process, part of the form gets cut off.

I would like to use this technique for a piece I expect to build multiple times. Is it a problem that you have cut off edges on the bottom of the form when you put it in the press a second time, or is this technique only valid when you're building a form you're going to use once?

Paula,

I have the form large enough that cutting off a little would not hurt pressing up another panel. If it was a problem I would probably screw on a temporary piece when pressing up the next panel, then remove it for trimming.
