Subject : Veneering cylinders

Anybody have any experience in veneering a full round object? I have done it in the past using paper backed veneer and contact cement, but I no longer consider that to be sound construction. What I want to do is to turn a column in laminated MDF and then veneer it. Any techniques that anyone can recommend? Thanks, friends!

I can explain a technique for doing this but I need to know the diameter of your cylinder to give you the proper recommendations.
