Subject : Tape on the glue side

I accidently glued the paper taped side to the substrate. The tape is solid, no holes and covers the center seam and the edges. Will this come apart eventually? This has a marquetry panel on the other side so I really don't want to lose this.

Dave,

Unfortunately, over time the glue on the tape will not be able to hold the veneer. If its the back side veneer and no one will see it you could just leave it. Although the seams will open up and may peel a bit the panel itself is OK.

By the way, your not the only one to have done this. I've gotten a few calls on this one.

Sincerely
Darryl Keil
