does anyone know how to make plywood curved in two dimensions such as the back of a chair? Can this be done with a vac. veneer press? Thanks, Ken

vermonterken,

Getting veneer or plywood to conform to a compound curve always has its limits,in a vacuum bag as well as any other method. Using plywood won't get you very far. Better to use just veneer and layer it up 2 to 4 sheets in a pressing until you end up at your desired thickness. If your curve is gentle enough you can use 1/16" veneers which will get you there with less lay ups.

Its a real trial and error process.

Sincerely
