Subject : Unibond bleed-through

Since this is my first veneering project, I built a test panel with the birdseye maple veneer I plan to use. On one side I used lots more Unibond than the other side just to see what happens. It bled thru quite a bit as expected. I'm having a hard time sanding away the glue. So my concern is that if I goof and do this to my real panel, what's the best way (if any) to get rid of the bleed through? Is it permanently in the pores or is it possible to actually sand or scrape it away? (I'm also considering switching to a white catalyst instead of the medium I used).

Thanks.

I found this thread which answers my question: http://www.vacupress.com/forum/thread-view.asp?threadid=15901&MessageID=30853#30853

I think that I will still get the white catalyst - but I'm almost positive what I was seeing was the staining, not bleed-thru and I'll just cut back on the amount of glue.
