I'd like to purchase a moisture meter, mainly to track drying progress after applying flattening solution. An article in Fine Woodworking #156 June 2002 identified two basic types, pin and pinless. Each seems to have advantages and disadvantages. The least expensive were two pin types (one was identified in a followup in the #162 April 2003 issue) for $60, the Timber Check and the Moistec. Anyone have any experience with using moisture meters on veneer? Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Don,

I have the pin type and have been happy with it. Give Certainly Wood a call I'm sure they would have a opinion.

Sincerely
