Subject : Setup for an "Internal Bag"

After watching the "working in a vacuum" video. I am interested in getting set-up for useing an internal bag as a caul. I have a 54" x 60" vinyl bag and I am curious if adding the 2nd fitting for the internal bag can be plugged when it isn't needed, of if that bag needs to be a dedicated bag for internal bag apps.2nd question, will I have to make up internal bags for each application or are standard size bags available?I haven't quite imagined how to size the internal bag for the job.Just getting started with veneering and I'm glad to have found this forum! I am a member of the Guild of Oregon woodworkers, and would like to thank Darryl for his support!!

Len,

You can definately retrofit you bag to work with a inflatable bladder and the setup kit comes with a plug when its not in use. You can use one size for all applications. Just get one to accommodate the largest project you think you'll do. What isnt used just lays there uninflated on the platen. You measure the internal circumference of your form in both directions to determine the general size you will want to get.

Glad to here the forum is of value to you.

Sincerely
