Subject : veneering over a multi-layered edge detail

Hi Darryl & Crew ;I'm doing a detail which is a reverse "S" edge detail on 1 1/8" MDF I have approx 12 layers of veneer following the edge this detail ends-up being 1/2" in height (or less) . The lay-up of the edge is w/ uni-bond which has set for a week > I wanted to veneer top & bot faces and wonder should I plan on two layers to insure no telegraph or will the possibility of telegraph be marginalized by the layers having "all those rigid glue lines"? I 'm assuming one layer of veneer will be alright . am I asking for trouble? Thanks ,

Hello Chris,I dont like to veneer directly over solid but I do agree that with all the layers of veneer and the rigidity of Unibond its not really solid and wont behave like it, so I would go ahead and veneer directly over it.SincerelyDarryl Keil : Hi Darryl & Crew ;: I'm doing a detail which is a reverse "S" edge detail on 1 1/8" : MDF I have approx 12 layers of veneer following the edge this : detail ends-up being 1/2" in height (or less) .
