Dear Glenn,You have a tall order here, and if you develope this magical glue you should become a wealthy man. Seriously, there really is not a glue that will meet your requirements that I know of. About the only thing I can suggest is iron on glue sheets. You first iron it on to the veneer, peel of the backing and then iron the whole thing onto your wall. This is about the only idea I can come up with for you.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I am a hard core vacuum bagger but I have a problem that bagging can't solve. The substrate is a fiberglass bulkhead of : approx 40 sq.ft. in a yacht. The verticle surface starts at a door, wraps around a 3" radius corner and continues to the hull. : The veneer is book matched NBL cherry. As this surface is a focal point of the saloon, the verticle flame grain pattern must : run with no breaks from edge to edge. Bagging is out because there is a short panel intersecting the corner so there is no : way to seal a bag flat to the veneer. Positioning will take some time so I can't use contact cement. Uniform heating would : be hard so most thermosets are out but a roller and heat gun is a possibility.: Therefore I need a glue that: a) is water resistant, b) has a long open time, c) will not grab instantly, and c) can be pressed : with a roller. Unfrotunately, some of these properties are mutually exclusive.: Anyone have a suggestion?
