Subject : Check valve for vacuum pump

Can anyone recommend a source for a reasonably priced check valve for my vacuum pump?GAST sells one, but its about $55 dollars. I've also tried a couple meant for compressors at about $15. I was instructed to just turn the direction of flow around. But these have a stronger spring than that needed for a vacuum pump -- I think this affects something called the popping pressure.Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Martin, If you already have a compressor check valve, it is possible to remove the spring and find one that supplies just enough force. This is a bit of a trial and error thing but in the end may save you a few buck, or if time is money paying the $55 might be the best option after all
