Darryl,I am going to veneer some drawer fronts with walnut veneer over 3/4" solid walnut. The drawers will be 16" wide by 7"high. They will be dovetailed to the sides with 1/2 blind d.t.'s. Do I need to veneer both sides on something this small? Also, the grain will be running the same direction, should I 2 ply? I am going to apply ****beading also. Thanks for your time, glad you're back! Wade Ellis

Dear Wade,Your fine veneering just the front on this one. When veneering over solid always run the veneerthe same direction as the solid wood, and never two ply. You want the veneer to expand and contract with the solid, thats why its always run in the same direction.Sincerely Darryl Keil: Darryl,I am going to veneer some drawer fronts with walnut veneer : over 3/4" solid walnut.
