I just completed a demilune 40" mahogany crotch sunburst tabletop as my first pressing project w/ near perfect results, self taught by your videos and this message board. THANKS !!!!. Now would like to do same but a 60"ROUND dining table top. However:-my vacuum bag is 4ft x 8ft. Can I somehow make 2 halves and join them after pressing?-do I need support plywood underneath the substrate (MDF)?Thankspeter b

Dear Peter,Congratulation! I'm glad to hear that your first project came out so well, and such a difficultproject at that.As far as the 60" table, you could do it in two halves and spline them together after pressing.I have done that in the past with good results. As long as you do it with a splining bit in a router, the surfaces will come out even. Biscuit joints are not good enough. If you want todo it all in one piece we can make you a custom bag. If you would like a quote call me at207-725-0935SincerelyDarryl Keil: I just completed a demilune 40" mahogany crotch sunburst tabletop as my first pressing project w/ near perfect results, self : taught by your videos and this message board.
