Dear Joe,Without seeing your situation I cant say for sure what went wrong, it should have worked. The only thing I will say, is all the piece need to be butted up close to each other, no morethan 1/4" apart or you can have problems. The addition of a 1/16" rubber caul would alwayshelp but should not be nessesary. As far as stacking, I always wrapped some masking tape around my bundle which took careof the slippage issue.SincerelyDarryl Keil I recently veneered 4 drawer fronts by placing all 4 fronts in 1 caul.(Vacuum setup) They were all the same width so rather : that making 4 seperate cauls, I sandwiched them in 1 setup. I wound up with some areas around the edges that didn't press : well. The core material was consistent, as well as the veneer thickness. Am I expecting too much of this setup? If I want to : press multiple pieces under 1 caul,(melamine) should I use rubber between the caul and work piece to compensate for any : irregularities?: I've also tried pressing pieces of identical size in stacks. While loading the bag, the stacks never fail to shift around. I wind up : spending too much time trying to shift the stack back into allignment. Isn't there a simple way to deal with this?
