I am interested in finding out more about the appearance and durability of a simple penetrating oil finish (such as Watco, or Tung oil) on a veneered surface. I am a one - man shop and prefer this type of finish, but would like to get involved in veneering. If an oil and wax type finish isn't practical or doesn't look decent, I would appreciate any suggestions for a simple finish that is practical for an operation like mine. Thank you for your help.

Dear Andrew,Oil and wax is not a recommended finish for veneer. It does not really provide enough protectionIf you dont have the ability to apply a sprayed finish, try a brushable laquer. It should give you a decent finish.SincerelyDarryl Keil: I am interested in finding out more about the appearance and : durability of a simple penetrating oil finish (such as Watco, or Tung : oil) on a veneered surface.
