Subject : continous operating vacuum pump

I have been using the Compact 100 vacupress system for several years . As you know the pump must run continuously. I have always used one of the typical yellow glues letting the pump operate about one hour with excellent results. My next project will have a very large number of small pieces. I'm considering using a pre-catalyzed urea-fomaldehyde glue to provide a more stable bond. However, this glue requires about four hours press time; will my vacuum pump operate this length of time without overheating or otherwise becoming damaged?

Dear Gordon,This type of pump can run continuously for extended periods, so go ahead and dont be concerned about the longer running time.sincerelyDarryl Keil: I have been using the Compact 100 vacupress system for several years .
