Im going to spread Unibond800 glue and want to make a spreader. I thought of taking a piece of old plastic and cuting notches in it in a comb like fashion. The width and depth of the notches will dictate how much glue is on the substrate. Any idea how wide/deep the notches should be. ie: how much glue is enough. Maybe it just doesn't matter as long as you get enough glue.

Dear Andy,Use a paint pan and a cheap black foam roller you can get from any hardware store. It willput down a uniform glue line nice and quickly. A foam roller will also allow you to adjust theamount of glue you apply. Notched trowels won't do that.sincerelyDarryl Keil: Im going to spread Unibond800 glue and want to make a spreader.
